Application Process

Applying at Middleton International School and Pre-School can be completed in 3 easy steps. Enrolments are open all year round, depending on availability. Before proceeding with an application it is essential to check with the school first if there are vacancies before submitting your payment:

Application Submission

Complete the Registration Form
Submit all the supporting documents:
- Both parents identification documents (SG ID card or passport if SG ID is not available)
- Child’s passport and SG identification documents
- Child’s latest school report (in English)
- Vaccination records or HPB certificate (Measles and Diphtheria are compulsory for children aged 12 and below)
- Passport photos of the child and both parents (clear, recent digital photo with a neutral background accepted)
Pay the administration fee ($654 including 9% GST) by bank transfer, or cheque – Bank details are the same for all Middleton Singapore schools:

Application Review

All applications will be reviewed by the Academic Board to ensure that each child will have the ability to effectively access the curriculum. During the review process, the Academic Board may request for a student interview, a paid entrance assessment* or both.

*paid entrance assessments are compulsory for Grade 9 and above

Application Outcome

Successful applicants will receive a Letter of Offer or Letter of Conditional Offer and should proceed to pay the non-refundable confirmation fee* to accept the offer. The confirmation fee is $763 (including 9% GST).

Unsuccessful applicants will receive a letter notifying parents of the application result.

Letter of Offer - successful applicants will be made a letter of offer to join Middleton on the specified commencement date.

Letter of Conditional offer - successful applicants may have a condition attached to their offer letter, eg requirement to join the English as an additional language programme or requirement for learning support (both payable at an additional cost). Some conditional offers may include specific monitoring of the student and will be reviewed after a period of time. This is to ensure that we have the resources in place to support each student in our school.

Letter of rejection - unsuccessful applicants would receive a letter of rejection. These are cases where the school may not be able to provide the level of support required for the student.

* Student Pass and SG Citizen applicants will only pay the confirmation fee after receiving the ICA or MOE outcome.

Application Submission

Complete the Registration Form
Submit all the supporting documents:
- Terms & Conditions Form
- ECDA Form 1
- Letter of Authorisation Form
- Permission to Observe Form
- Kagami/Parents App Form
- Medical Alerts (if any)
- One photograph of your child (hard/soft copy)
- Father’s ID Card (front & back)
- Mother’s ID Card (front & back)
- Child’s ID Card (front & back, for non-Singaporeans)
- Child’s passport page showing the details
- Child’s Birth Certificate
- Child’s full immunization record

Waitlist Applications

Enrolments are open all year round. Interested parents may submit the application form and pay the non-refundable and non-transferrable application fee to apply to the school. If your child has been accepted but there is no immediate availability, your child will be placed on the waitlist. The school will reach out to the parent when a place is available. Should parents wish to withdraw from the waitlist before a place is offered or chooses not to accept the offer, the application fee will not be refundable nor transferable. If no place is offered within 2 years, the application will be considered as unsuccessful. Unsuccessful applicants may re-apply by submitting a fresh application.

In the event that parents wish to enroll their child at Middleton at a later date after declining the initial offer, they will need to reapply and pay the non-refundable administrative fee again. This will be treated as a new application.

We have a 30% nationality cap at our Tampines campus. If the nationality quota has been reached, you can only submit your application when the waitlist is open.

Priority Placement Rights

A Priority Placement Rights will act as an instrument to priortise the place of a student into the school.

The general terms and conditions of a PPR are outlined below:

Price	$50,000 exclusive of GST ($54,500 inclusive of 9% GST)
Term	3 years
Priority	A PPR will enable a student to a priority placement at Middleton International Schools subject only to Middleton’s assessment procedure.
Trading	PPR's are not tradeable on the open market, nor can they be sold back to the school. Upon expiry or end use, they will lapse.

Placement Rights FAQs

What are Placement Rights?
A PPR will provide a student with waitlist prioritisation subject to meeting admissions requirements and entrance criteria. A PPR will rank the child in front of all other applicants (except staff children) on a waitlist in any year group.

Who can buy them?
Any individual or corporation may purchase a PPR providing the child meets all admissions requirements and entrance criteria.

How much do they cost and what are the entitlements?
Priority Placement Rights cost S$50,000 (excluding GST) and the student will be given priority to join the school.

What are the purchase procedures?
PPR will be issued together with an invoice within 14 days from the date of written confirmation of purchase. At this date, the student’s application will be changed to reflect their new priority. Payment must be made within 30 days from the date of invoice.

Singapore citizens and students who require a Student Pass will need to go through the following steps to seek ICA / MOE's approvals upon receiving the application outcome (Step 3)

LTVP and Student Pass applications

Pay the Student Pass processing fee and the school will submit the application to the ICA (Immigration and Checkpoints Authority).
Complete the ICA formalities.
Receive the ICA application outcome and pay the non-refundable confirmation fee to complete the Middleton registration formalities.

Kindly note that the Letter of Consent (LOC) for LTVP holders is renewable on an annual basis.

Singapore Citizen applications

Submit the birth certificate and all previous school reports in hardcopy as part of the application documents to the school.
Include a letter of request stating the reasons for the application to a Foreign System School (FSS) along with any additional supporting documents.
Middleton will submit all the documents to the Ministry of Education (MOE) and notify the parent of the outcome.
Successful applicants should pay the non-refundable confirmation fee to complete the Middleton registration formalities.
