What is your school calendar year?
The school year starts in January and runs till December.
What are the school hours?
9am to 3.30pm.
What is the class size?
Nursery 2: maximum 22 students
Kindergarten 1 and 2: maximum 25 students
Grade 1 and onwards: maximum 28 students
How many teachers are there in one class?
Nursery 2 to Kindergarten 2: 1 homeroom teacher and 1 teaching assistant
Grade 1 onwards:1 homeroom teacher only
How many classes are there for each level/grade?
There will be a maximum of 3 to 4 classes per level/grade.
What curriculum are you offering at Middleton Tampines?
Early Years N2 to K2
We offer the unique blend of Reggio inspired Inquire-Think-Learn curriculum (ITL) of EtonHouse along with a formalised skills-based approach to get the children ready for primary school. The ITL curriculum allows children to inquire into subject areas of literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, arts and personal, physical and social education through inquiry.
Primary School Years Grade 1 to 5
The Middleton Primary Curriculum is academically rigorous and inspired by the high standards of the Singapore Ministry of Education for Mathematics, and the Key Stages (UK curriculum) for English, Science and Humanities. The programme is delivered in the context of the units of the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). The IPC is a comprehensive curriculum from the UK with a clear process of learning and specific learning goals for each subject for personal learning and international-mindedness.
Middle School Years Grade 6 to 10
The Middleton School Curriculum for Grades 6 to 8 is specifically designed as a gateway, linking the in-depth knowledge, skills and understanding developed in the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC) to those in the intensive IGCSE programme undertaken in Grades 9 and 10.
High School Years Grade 11 to 12
Middleton International School offers a rigorous high school curriculum which is the Cambridge International Advanced Level qualifications that equips learners for university study and is widely recognised as a rigorous pathway that prepares students for life in a globalised world.
What are the backgrounds of the teachers at Middleton Tampines?
We have a good mix of teachers from diverse and international backgrounds. They are experienced and professionally qualified educators from Singapore, the UK, USA, India, Australia, China etc.
Do you have different teachers for different lessons?
Yes, we have specialist teachers who take on the subjects of Physical Education and Arts.
Do you offer Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) after school hours?
Yes The ECA programme for the Tampines campus starts from Term 3 (24 July 2018) onwards.
Our school is currently working with various vendors to come up with innovative and enriching ECA options for the children.
We will release the list of ECAs towards the end of July.
My child has no English background. Do you provide any support for English Language?
All children will be assessed by their English teacher for their English proficiency level during the first few weeks of school.
If your child is identified to require additional support in English, he or she will be required to undertake English Additional Language (EAL) classes.
EAL has an extra charge of $321 per term.
The duration that your child is required to undertake EAL will depend on his or her learning ability and pace.
Do you provide school meals?
Yes, your child can subscribe to school meals at an additional charge of $25 per week. They get to enjoy one tea break and one lunch every day.
However, we charge it on a termly basis.
(i.e. If there are 10 weeks in a term, it will be $250 per term. If you want to subscribe to school meals, it must be for at least one term.)
School meals are catered by our in-house kitchen.
I am looking for (Grade 7 to 12). Is there vacancy for (Grade 7 to 12)?
We are still pending regulatory approval to commence Grade 7 to 12. These classes will commence from 2019 onwards in phases.
Are there any entrance assessments?
No entrance assessment is required unless the school report provided is an insufficient indicator of your child’s performance.
My child is a Student Pass/ Long-Term Visit Pass holder. Can Middleton accept Student Pass/ Long-Term Visit Pass holders?
Middleton is not EduTrust certified at the moment so we cannot accept students on Student Pass and Long-Term Visit Pass.
We aim to be EduTrust certified in 2019. Do check back with us in the 4th quarter of the year. If you would like to be notified when this happens, do leave us your contact details here.
What is the registration fee?
Registration fee is S$1,070 (inclusive of GST) and it is non-refundable.

Do you provide school bus service?
Yes, we do provide school bus service to certain residential areas. School bus service is by an external vendor. You may contact the vendor at this email address to find out about the routes: [email protected]
What is the waitlist policy at Middleton?
Wait List Policy:
If a place is not available at the time you wish to join, your child’s name will be placed on the wait list and you will be notified as soon as a vacancy opens up.There is a wait list fee of S$535.00.
Wait list priority is given to families with siblings already enrolled in the school.
Acceptance into grade levels with very limited places will be reserved for children with a sibling or multiple siblings already enrolled at Middleton or with applications already submitted. Siblings will also be given first priority should there be a waitlist in their grade level.
What are the facilities at the Middleton campus?
