Mei Ying Liu completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of East London, where her interests in human cognition, behavior, and emotion took root. This  motivated her to pursue a career working with children and she completed her Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) at Goldsmiths College, University of London. 

Her  teaching career began in London where she taught Nursery and Lower Primary years. Mei Ying gained valuable skills and insights during these years in which she enjoyed building relationships with and providing pastoral care to young learners. In Singapore, Mei Ying has worked with children aged 2 to 7 years in preschool and international school settings. She has also worked as an educational therapist, providing specialised care and support for learners with additional needs. Mei Ying believes in lifelong learning and has completed a Diploma in Early Childhood care and Education (DECCE) from SEED Institute and a Master Degree in Special Education, from the National Institute of Education of Singapore.

Married with three children, Mei Ying enjoys spending time with family and their two adorable cats. When she is not trying out fitness classes, she likes nothing better than to sit in her favourite armchair with a nice cup of Yorkshire tea and a good crime fiction novel to enjoy.

Mei Ying looks forward to contributing to the Middleton community, building meaningful partnerships and creating beautiful memories with everyone.
