Shuk Yi grew up in the UK with a deep love for science, which inspired her to earn a master’s degree in Chemistry from Imperial College. Before joining Middleton, she taught at an international school in Spain, where she connected with students from diverse backgrounds and brought Science to life with hands-on experiments. Shuk Yi firmly believes that practical experiments—especially those involving a Bunsen burner—are the best way to spark curiosity and make learning stick. 

At Middleton, she’s excited to introduce interactive lessons that blend solid theory with real-world applications, making science accessible and exceptionally fun for everyone. Whether in the lab or the classroom, Shuk Yi is all about creating a dynamic, inclusive environment where students can explore, experiment, and discover the wonders of Science. She loves fostering teamwork and creative problem-solving, always encouraging students to ask questions and think critically about the world around them.

Out of school, Shuk Yi loves exploring Singapore and experiencing its vibrant culture firsthand.
