Stuart is an ICT and Computer Science teacher originally from the UK, with experience teaching across secondary and sixth form. Prior to joining Middleton International School, he held a leadership role as Head of Department for Business and Computer Science, where he supported curriculum planning and helped students build strong foundations in both digital skills and computational thinking. Teaching at Middleton is his first international position, and he is excited to be part of a diverse school community in Singapore. 

Stuart believes that students learn best when lessons are clear, relevant and hands-on. In his classroom, he aims to build confidence through practical tasks, whether students are developing programming skills, learning how computer systems work, or applying technology creatively to solve real-world problems. He sets high expectations while ensuring students feel supported, encouraging them to ask questions, experiment and reflect on how to improve.  

Outside of teaching, Stuart enjoys keeping active, playing football and heading out for a hike whenever he can. He values the resilience and teamwork these hobbies build, and brings that same mindset into the classroom.
