What are the backgrounds of your educators?

We do have a good mix of educators from diverse and international backgrounds. They are experienced and professionally qualified educators from Singapore, UK, USA, India, Australia, China etc. Most of our educators have an average of at least two to five years of teaching experience.

For the Early and Primary years, there are specialist teachers for Physical Education (PE) and Additional Language lessons. From K2 and above, students will also attend Art lessons conducted by an Arts specialist. In the Middle Years, students will have a homeroom teacher as their pastoral teacher and specialist teachers for all other subjects.

Middleton offers various interesting and engaging ECA options for our students ranging from sporting, artistic, cultural to recreational activities. The options change each semester based on student demand. Every student (K2 and above) can sign up for an internal teacher-led ECA that is included in the school fees. There are also ECAs conducted by external vendors, which are optional and chargeable at an additional cost of $201.87 - $807.48 per term (including 8% GST).

All students will be assessed by their English teacher for their English proficiency level during the first few weeks of school. If your child is identified to require additional support in English, he/she will be required to undertake the English Additional Language (EAL) Programme.

The duration and frequency that your child is required to undertake the EAL Programme will depend on your child’s learning ability/pace. EAL comes with an additional cost of $324 - $648 per term (including 8% GST).

Middleton offers a school meal subscription at an additional cost of $30 per week (including 8% GST). The school meal subscription is charged on a per term basis at $300 (including 8% GST) for a 10-week term. School meals include a daily morning tea break and lunch prepared by our in-house chefs.

Our Tampines campus offers additional languages in Mandarin, Hindi and French at an extra cost of $540 - $1,080 per term (including 8% GST). Additional language is optional, and it is conducted within school hours.

Students who are not taking an additional language will have a supervised self-study period.

No entrance assessment is required from Nursery 2 to Grade 8 unless the school report provided is an insufficient indicator of your child’s performance. At the time of review, the Academic Board will determine whether any assessments (chargeable at $108 after 8% GST) or interviews are required. All students applying for Grade 9 and above will be required to sit for an entrance assessment (chargeable at $108 after 8% GST).

Middleton is registered with EduTrust by Singapore’s Committee of Private Education (CPE) since March 2020. We can receive applications for students requiring a Student Pass or a Letter of Consent (LOC) for those holding a Long Term Visit Pass (LTVP).

All Student Pass holders are required to fulfil a minimum of 90% attendance and cannot be absent continuously for more than seven (7) days without a valid reason. All other students are required to fulfil a minimum of 75% attendance for course completion.

The registration fee is applicable for all new registration, consisting of an administration fee of $540 (including 8% GST) to be paid when submitting the application and a confirmation fee of $567 (including 8% GST) to be paid when accepting the offer. The fees are non-refundable.
