Before returning to this community, Sihan, commonly addressed as Layla by her students, served as an IB PYP bilingual Mandarin teacher at EtonHouse Broadrick for three years. She holds a Bachelor of Education (TESL) from the University of Malaya and is also certified as a Teacher of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages. Sihan is thrilled about embarking on her journey at the Middleton West Coast Campus, where she aims to create a conducive language learning environment for her students.

In addition to her bachelor’s degree, she has earned a Master of Education in Teaching and Curriculum from the National Institute of Education (NIE) in Singapore. This recent academic pursuit has prompted her to reflect on her past teaching experience, driving her to be more dedicated and committed to assisting students with diverse needs and fostering a passion for language learning among them.

Outside of her professional endeavours, Sihan enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and running. She also maintains a deep interest in Chinese history and English literature.
