Middleton Intensive English Programme

Relocating from your home country with school-aged children can be stressful. This is further complicated when your children are switching from schooling in their home language to the English instruction schools that are common in Singapore. Children who are academically successful in their home country are sometimes not able to join international schools due to their English proficiency. At Middleton, we consider this a short-term concern and as such, we have developed the Middleton Intensive English Programme (MIEP) at our West Coast campus. A bespoke intensive English programme designed for students aged 10 to 13 (Grades 4 to 7) who may not meet the mainstream requirements, this short-term course aims to help students reach the English proficiency level required to access international curricula upon graduation.

Happiness and Well-being

Since our inception, Middleton has placed a strong emphasis on social and emotional learning as we believe in the lifelong positive impact mindfulness in school brings to our community. Happiness and well-being are built into the very fabric of our school and culture. We are also The Contentment Foundation’s Mothership School in Southeast Asia, leading the way for mindfulness practices and student well-being programmes for schools in the region.

Leadership Team

The Middleton leadership team combines decades of relevant experience with a strong belief that curiosity, positive psychology and mindfulness are the key to creating a flourishing school where learners thrive.

Relocation can be a traumatic experience, especially when it involves children. We recently shifted from Mumbai to Singapore and thanks to Amelia from Middleton West Coast, the whole process was smooth and painless. We selected the school because we heard great reviews about it and found it offered an international curriculum at an affordable price…

My daughter has been attending the West Coast Campus since August last year. The reasons for choosing this school were the reasonable tuition fee for international schools and the extensive curriculum. The campus is modest in size and, it has well-equipped facilities and its cleanliness makes parents feel assured about sending their children here. Not only…

I chose this school for the following reasons. The tuition fees are reasonable, the school is made in cosy and welcoming environment and they emphasise children’s wellness. The easy access from the nearest train station was also an appealing factor. When comparing and considering other schools, the decisive factor was the prompt and courteous response…
